The iconic red windmill of the Moulin Rouge never goes dark. It stands as a beacon showcasing 123 years of festive celebrations.
Since 1889, costume designers, feather makers, shoemakers & production designers have created a symphony of colors which capture the essence, cultural and historical significance of the Moulin Rouge. A distinct color template was created for the spectacular revues & costume designs that is unique to the Moulin Rouge. The sumptuous settings with sparkling unique designs and constantly refreshed themes provide a richness of traditional and royal elements that make a bold and dramatic statement.
In-house designs are inspiration for new apparel, footwear, health, beauty and home furnishing licensees.

The production includes a troupe of 100 performers, including 80 dancers wearing more than 1,000 costumes and 800 custom made pairs of shoes per show. For over 40 years, the name of each spectacular revue begins with the letter ‘F’. This tradition is specific to the Moulin Rouge, as a token of luck. It is also a reference and homage to women — glamorous women, refined women and seductive women with a touch of impertinence.
