Buck Rogers®

Buck Rogers® in the 25th Century was the first science fiction comic strip.
On January 7, 1929, “Buck Rogers® in the 25th Century” debuted as the first syndicated science fiction comic strip, and it took off like a rocket.

He served as an ambassador for the science fiction genre, presenting many of its wild stories, far-flung science and exciting gadgets for the first time to a mass audience.

The inspiration of Buck Rogers fueled the imaginations of Future astronauts, scientists, engineers, writers and architects.

Buck Rogers® name is synonymous with high adventure and space flight.

Buck Rogers® came first. He predates Flash Gordon,  Star Trek and Star Wars.

All the possibilities of the future, were detailed in Buck Rogers® adventures.
Few works of fiction influence culture at every level.  The mere mention of
the name “Buck Rogers®” is synonymous with futuristic fashion, furniture,
medicine, architecture, transportation, gadgetry, science, war and space
travel.  Much of the “science fiction” first envisioned in Buck Rogers, is
now “science fact”.

Buck Rogers® continues its influence in popular culture. Long before James Bond, hi-tech gadgets were the cornerstone of Buck Rogers’ 25th Century. Most of its stock features  including rocket ships, space travel, robots, and ray guns — concepts considered by most to be wildly improbable, if not downright impossible — are now a reality.
